A collection of various character designs and illustrations, some personal and some commissioned.
“Mother Rosa”
Depicting a heavenly version of the since passed otter named Rosa, this piece was submitted to the 2024 “Remembering Rosa’s Life” art contest in honor of her passing. The image was shown and judged during the 6th annual Monterey Bay Aquarium charity stream hosted by Youtuber and Twitch streamer DougDoug. This piece, done in a faux-baroque art style, was inspired by Rosa’s work as a surrogate mother. During her 24 years as a surrogate, she raised 15 pups in total, of whom can be seen throughout the painting. The mascot of the DougDoug channel, a bell pepper, can also be seen held in the paws of the otter pup.
The piece was selected and placed into the top 120 out of 600 applicants, and earned 30th overall.
